It is important to use persistent or permanent links when sharing articles, ebooks, and other online resources from the databases. This is the best way to ensure that the link will work for those accessing the source, both on and off-campus. 

To find permanent links in SuperSearch and other Ebsco databases, look for "Permalink" under the Tools section that appears on the far right side when you view a title: 

 

From here, just copy and paste the permalink into your document: 

Saving Persistent Links to Searches

You can also save persistent links to searches.  

After conducting a search, look for the "Share" option above the search results. Under "Use Permalink", you will find the persistent link to the search:

After clicking into a title from the search results, look for the "All Options" link at the top right of the page: 

This will bring up all of the different save options. The persistent link will be at the top of the box:

After conducting a search, look for "Save Search/Alert", then select the option to "Get search link": 

 

NOTE: ProQuest search links are not permanent links, and will expire. To save searches more permanently, you need to use the ProQuest My Research account. 

Find permanent links in JSTOR 

JSTOR uses the term "stable" instead of permanent or persistent.

After running a search and clicking on a title, look for the "Stable URL":

After selecting a resource from the search results, look for the "Get Link" option in the upper right of the page:
