NOTE: The EBSCO eBook app only provides access to the library's ebook holdings provided through EBSCO. For ebooks from other vendors or to find print books, please remember to use the library catalog or SuperSearch.
First you will need to install the EBSCO ebook app (iOS, Android) and sign in or create an Adobe ID as well as an EBSCO login. The following instructions are for the iOS version, but both versions should be very similar.
You will first be prompted to sign in or create an Adobe ID. This IS needed to download ebooks.
You will then see the basic home screen of the app where any downloaded books will later reside.
Click on "Find Books" at the bottom right hand corner. You will then be prompted to find your library by first selecting the Country and then the State.
A list of all libraries with Ebsco ebooks in the state of TN will then appear. Scroll down and select Carson-Newman University
When you click on Carson-Newman University, you will be taken to the Appalachian College Association login page just like when you use a database off campus. Remember, your username is your last name only (ex: smith) and your password is cn + your 7 digit student ID number, including the leading zero (ex: cn0123456).
This will then take you to the search page where you can search the library's EBSCO eBooks.
You will be prompted to login or create an your EBSCO username and password once you have selected an ebook to download.
Again, please remember that this is NOT the entirety of the library's collection, and this app is provided merely for ease of access to this particular subset of ebooks.
